Dear friends and family of the preborn child
“The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. The Book of Job says that God uses man’s own brilliance to trap him; he stumbles over his own ‘wisdom’ and falls. The Book of Psalms says that the Lord knows how the human mind thinks. He knows how foolish and futile it is.”

I had an interesting discussion today with Sister Margaret of Sisters of Life. The earthly wisdom of the U.S. Supreme Court failed us in 1973 (Roe). The current court in its earthly wisdom has tried to correct the fallacy of Roe, but again, earthly wisdom has failed us. They overturned Roe but left the fate of preborn children to the ‘wisdom’ of state legislatures. There is a greater wisdom – God-given wisdom enshrined in the charter of our nation (the Declaration of Independence):
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain UNALIENABLE RIGHTS…
These words are based upon God’s Natural Law written upon the heart of man by our Creator. The current court missed a golden opportunity in overturning Roe. They should have taken the next essential step as a constitutional court and found that under our nation’s charter (the Declaration of Independence) preborn children are endowed from conception with an unalienable right to life. Our Constitution presumes the truth stated in the Declaration of Independence just as any other by-laws presume the charter upon which they are based.
The court has caused the nation to stumble. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
There is talk in the Congress of passing a federal law guaranteeing a ‘right’ to abortion in all 5o states which the current president supports. With this in mind, the March for Life this January is scheduled to go to the U.S. Capitol instead of the usual destination of the Supreme Court.
The U.S. Capitol building is populated with warring political factions. We need to take the case for the equal humanity of the preborn child and her unalienable right to life over the head of the Congress. We need to take it to GOD HIMSELF from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, our nation’s Temple to Equality – in this case, the equality of preborn children and their equal right to life.
Dr. Martin Luther King did that. He chose to deliver his “I Have A Dream” speech, not from the steps of the U.S. Capitol but from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
We pray for wisdom from on high, much higher than the U.S. Capitol Dome.
