You may have heard a news anchor comment that the venue for the Republican National Convention was “The safest place on the planet”. He was referring to the fact that state troopers and law enforcement had come in from all over the nation to add to the security detail for this man they love who supports them.
They assuredly have their own thoughts for the safety of the President once he steps out of that convention center and is forced again to rely upon the Secret Service.
Speaking before the RNC that night, the President’s son asked why Biden had not fired Kimberly Cheatle. Everybody is asking that question, so let’s think it out. The President’s son asked the question, “Who’s running the government?” One at a time he threw out names and you could hear the yells of the crowd in response. If you had a response meter, you could have measured the votes. The first name he threw out was Jill Biden, then Hunter Biden, then Barak Obama (Barak Obama seemed to win).
President Trump himself several weeks ago on the campaign trail made the statement, “I am told that Hunter is calling the shots (at the White House).” I would say that President Trump is a reliable source.
Not only those in the White House, but all the Democrats are in panic and disarray because they realize that all their schemes to hold on to power have either failed or backfired. Even CNN is predicting a Trump tsunami.
With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the Secret Service. Biden appointed Kimberly Cheatle as its head (the news carried that she had previously worked for a soft drink bottling company). Biden is not about to fire her and we know why – because Biden doesn’t make the decisions.
Jill and Hunter are not going to order him to fire her because she knows too much. If she was fired, she would have plenty to say and we might find out some things Jill and Hunter do not want known. She also might have something to say about who at the top of the chain of command ordered her to turn down the repeated requests of the Trump team for additional Secret Service protection. To top it off, Kimberly Cheatle knows full well who is going to be the one to fire her if Trump lives to be elected.
We just learned from Lindsey Graham when he walked out of a closed door briefing with the secret service of all 100 senators, that the presence of this potential assassin was known and even photographed as much as 1 hour ahead of time.
Dan Bongino, who was in the Secret Service himself, was pulling his hair out. He said, “Why didn’t somebody simply give the order not to permit the President to go on stage until this man was found and arrested?” Lindsey Graham went on to comment that half of the one hour briefing they received from the Secret Service was, to use his term, “a filibuster”. And when they finally got to what everybody wanted to hear, he was not even given an opportunity to ask questions he wanted to ask -indicating that it was a “Democratic proceeding”.
Since when is the Secret Service Democrat or Republican? Without realizing it, perhaps he’s pointed to a truth. In the year 2024, we have a Democratic Secret Service. They seem to favor the Democrats and disfavor the Republicans. This has never been the case in the past. The Secret Service was respected by everyone.
Look where we are right now: the head of the Secret Service herself will assuredly be fired if the very man whom it’s her job to protect lives long enough to be elected. The same is true for the two unelected people at the White House who control the levers of power (Jill and Hunter). They lose their power when Trump puts his hand on the Bible in January. Why is it that I’m seeing a conflict of interest here?
At least one member of Congress came out with the outlandish statement that he wished the assassin had been a better shot. Why is this man still allowed in the halls of Congress? His words and conduct are more egregious than the congressman just convicted of taking gold bars as a bribe.
With all that by way of background, what should be done immediately to ensure proper protection of the president?
I know nothing about it, but assuredly many of you do. For some reason, I am thinking of the problem encountered during the Second World War with parachutes that were not folded properly such that when the rip cord was pulled to open it, it became entangled in its own strings and the parachuter fell to his death.
They solved the problem of the parachutes by ordering that the same man who packed the parachutes was required to jump one at random that is commanding officer chose. That ended the entanglement problem! You see where we are going.
The Trump team should let it be known that henceforth there is a new policy at all rallies. Kimberly Cheatle herself will be required to stand at the podium next to the president when he speaks. She is to walk beside him as he ascends the stage and walk beside him when he leaves. While he speaks, she stands to the side and slightly back.
Now let’s see Jill and Hunter tell her to turn down the Trump team’s request for extra Secret Service personnel. Let’s see her let the president go onstage when they have yet to find a man with a rifle they have lost track of in the crowd. If she resigns rather than stand next to the president, we will know just what sort of confidence she has in her security plan.
And the Congress is helpless (or hopeless). If they were asked right now to go together on some bipartisan legislation to shore up the Secret Service, the democrats would sure enough be opposed to it. And not only do they not care what happens to Trump, but they have been trying to figure out a way to get rid of Biden. Sad but true!
President Trump should not have to step on stage at a rally again until his safety can be absolutely 110% assured! For that matter, the same thing goes for President Biden! Where is the Secret Service of old? If we had them, we wouldn’t be asking these questions.
Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
R. Martin Palmer
