How do we account for the fact that we live in this blessed land of liberty where half the people want to kill babies and the other half wants to save them?
The devil continues to spread evil in the world. The seemingly endless lines of white marble crosses above the beaches of Normandy, France, where the allies stormed ashore on D-Day, 1944, and the lines of white marble crosses as far as the eyes can see at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington remind us of the lives that were given to push back Hitler’s evil tide that had overrun Europe and threatened the free world.
And now, the devil has seemingly entered into this modern day Hitler (Putin) who is attacking a free Ukraine, and who, like Hitler before him, is killing even his own countrymen who dare oppose him or threaten his power. Recently, the president of Russia’s largest oil and gas company, who had opposed Putin’s attack on Ukraine “fell” from his 6th story hospital window to his death.
In this age of intercontinental ballistic missiles and now hypersonic missiles, with Putin in the east and the Chinese Communist leaders saber rattling in the west, the devil is setting the stage for another World War.
ONLY GOD CAN STAND AGAINST THIS. Now, more than ever, we need the King of Heaven’s Armies on our side. We need someone, such as Franklin Graham, to bring us together on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial this January at the time of the annual March for Life in Washington and lay out our case before God for preborn children as equal members of the community of man created in the Holy Image of God – and in so doing, appeal to all state legislatures to use the constitutional freedom the Supreme Court has now given them to honor the Commandment Thou Shalt Not Kill.
When President Ronald Reagan was about to be sworn in for his second term of office he let it be known that his mother’s Bible on which his hand would be placed to take his oath of office would be opened to 2 Chronicles 7:14 because he thought it was a message to our nation at this time: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chronicles 7:14).
We need repentance and prayer to heal our land and assure God’s continued mercy and grace and continued providential protective care of America.
Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
R. Martin Palmer
