We want all of you to have for Christmas a video recording of the late Dr. Jerome Lejeune speaking to a legislator’s conference in Chicago a number of years ago.
As you know, Dr. Lejeune is on the path to sainthood in the Catholic Church and is currently referred to as “venerable”. The conference was put together and sponsored by Americans United for Life. The idea was to bring key prolife legislators from the 50 states together in Chicago and then fly Dr. Lejeune over and have him address them there. (It would have been an impossible task for Dr. Lejeune to go to all the states.)
On the video, after Herbert Radner of the AUL makes the introduction and Dr. Lejeune begins to speak, I had the people making the copies of his speech purposely skip to the question and answer session at the end of his talk. The reason being is that, incredibly, he is asked the very question that state legislatures across the nation are now asking themselves. Should we use fetal heartbeat as a cutoff point? Should we use 15 weeks?
He answers this question for you, definitively and for all time. After the Q & A portion of his talk, we skip back to the very beginning. We just wanted to put the Q & A at the beginning so nobody misses it.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
