Dear friends and family of the preborn child, .
Many have said that the best speaker at the entire Republican National Convention was Sister Deirdre Byrne. She belongs to the community of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
While attending Georgetown Medical School in 1978, she enlisted in the Army to help with her school expenses and spent 29 years in the U.S. military as a doctor and surgeon in places like Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula.
She put it well when she said “I’m not just pro-life. I’m proeternal life and I want all of us to be in heaven together.”
Her speech at the convention was less than 4 minutes in length and for those of you who missed it and want to download it or forward it to friends, we are putting it up on our own website if you can’t find it on youtube. It will be in the downloads page under Videos. Click here
She stated that President Donald Trump “is the most prolife president that the nation has ever had defending life in all stages. His belief in the sanctity of life transcends politics.” She stated that “President Trump will stand up against Biden/Harris which is the most anti-life presidential ticket we have ever had, supporting the horrors of late term abortion and infanticide”.
We are living through times when dark is called light (the proabortion democrats have devilishly labeled themselves as the party of light).
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Page 2 of 3 that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
This is what this upcoming election is truly about. It is a choice between light and darkness and it is a night and day difference. The pro-life community stands in the light and points to the light. We are a shining light on a hill for all the world to see. We choose life and light.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: that thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days:” Deuteronomy 30:19-20
Yours very sincerely and respectfully, R. Martin Palmer
P.S. We have all seen hard fought and hotly contested presidential elections in the past, but not one in which outright hatred is exhibited by some on the opposing side toward the current president. This again bespeaks the undercurrent of what this elections is truly about.
A statement that Dr. Jerome Lejeune made to state legislators who had gathered together in Chicago, Illinois, in 1991 may shed some light on this:
“It happened around 15 years ago (around 1976) at the beginning of the campaign for abortion in France. One lady rose, she refused to say her name or the association she was with. She said:
‘We want to destroy the Judeo-Christian civilization; to destroy it we have to destroy families; to destroy the family, we have to attack it at its weakest link. Its weakest link is a child not yet born. Hence, we are for abortion.’ Page 3 of 3 “She said nothing more than this. Not one of the 50 newsmen wrote anything about what she had said. What she had said was of utmost importance because it explained why all the discussions are loaded sometimes with hatred, not on our side, but on the other side who want to destroy something through the children.”
Both the audio and print versions of Dr. Lejeune’s 1993 McGiveny Lecture series at the John Paul II Institute is available on our website (https://naapc.org) under the “Timeless Wisdom” tab.
P.S.S. Dr. Richard P. Delaney’s book For Love of Life and the Family: Letters to a Great-Granddaughter is now available in paperback and kindle at Amazon.com. The audio version is available at audio.com.
